Behavioral Treatment Providers (BTP) is an approved offender supervision provider for the Davidson County General Sessions and Criminal Courts in Nashville, Tennessee. BTP has obtained the following State of Tennessee Licensures: State Certified Domestic Violence Treatment Provider; State Licensed Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Outpatient Treatment Facility; and, State Licensed Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse Twelve Hour DUI School. Additionally, BTP operates the Magdalene Prostitution Solicitation School (John School) for Metropolitan Davidson County.
BTP utilizes behavioral management and behavioral contingency methods in the supervision of various offender groups. Programs include: the Twleve Hour Alcohol and Other Drugs of Abuse DUI School; John School; Domestic Violence; Anger Management, Alcohol and Drug Treatment (LIOP) Low Intensive Outpatient Program; Underage Drinking/Criminal Impersonation/The Rules Program; Assessments (alcohol & drug/DUI); and, Brief Cognitve Interventions (eight hour programming) for both Anger Management and Shoplifting.
BTP is an organization dedicated to providing effective treatment and interventions with various offender groups. All BTP treatment/Education programming uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach called Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). For meta analysis and data go to www.moral-reconation-therapy.com. In 2008 MRT became a SAMHSA NREPP Registered program. National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP).
MRT is recognized as one of the 'evidence-based best practices' for use with offenders, substance abusers, and in drug courts. (NDCI-National Drug Court Institute)
